Amendment: I've increased comments to seven days.
I've been swamped with all kinds of work over the last few weeks. Not only is it becoming much harder to find time for this blog, I'm unable to devote time to respond to comments.
Much against my desire to engage – particularly with those who oppose my ideas, so I can learn new things – I'm now imposing a very harsh timeline on comments. Comments will henceforth be entertained only within two days of publication of a blog post. Beyond that the comments option will close.
Even during these two days I might not find time to respond, but will merely publish those comments which are compliant with my comments policy.
If time constraints increase I might close all commenting on this blog.
Apologies for the great inconvenience, I know, this will cause to a lot of good friends and well-wishers (and opponents).
Should circumstances change I might create a more open comments policy again.

Dear Sanjeev,
I would not do this – better to restrict the number of posts that you write, instead of restricting comments. It would eventually lead to to this just being your personal repository of thoughts. If that is the aim, then I think it is fine.
Alternatively, I would suggest that we channel the comments section to the FTI website, where multiple FTI members can reply to comments they want to for comments that are not specifically addressed to you as a person, as compared with comments that reply to your posts, if you get what I mean.

I’m not sure of the mechanics of transferring comments elsewhere. Let me increase comment duration to 7 days. That should be enough. After that if someone has something to say, they can send me an email.
