The 1930s had the hottest days in USA. Why?

Why is it that the warming of the globe is not had any impact on the particularly hot days?

I'm not saying that there is a necessity for warming to be associated with hottest days, for the average could rise even as the extremes reduce. But there needs to be an explanation.\
