Here my a response to a young man on Shantanu's blog. I trust the young commentator will actually demonstrate how to succeed:
I’m nowhere in the league of the person I’ll shortly mention, below, but one thing I would like to make clear to my Indian brothers and sisters: I do NOT see myself as a failure, for I stand for a cause far greater than me: the LIBERTY and greatness of India. I have overcome anything that has come in the way, and am still struggling each day to push myself to the limit. To me failure means not trying. It does not mean not achieving a desired goal. I don’t care about the results. I care ONLY for trying to do the right thing. The charge against me (above, by one commentator) is this: “Sanjeev who has done what?–tried to start a party for 14 years and failed is the shining example to the youth of India”.I’m guilty as charged. But I want to humbly suggest that the goal I have for India is far greater than the goal set for India by ANYONE ELSE I know, a goal yet for which I’m merely one small fading light of a mud lamp in the journey. My journey, my mud lamp may fade and burn out, but the goal I have for India WILL be met. By those determined to achieve it. Showing the goal, even if very faintly today, is my job.And now comes an example which I know will be readily distorted by many (for people will imagine that I’m trying to compare myself to the great man whose name I will now cite), but I am offering this example NOT as proof of my “greatness” (which is totally non-existent – as the commentator above rightly pointed out) but as proof that an idea is always greater than the man. When Ramakrishna died he had just a handful of disciples of whom Vivekananda was one. They had virtually nothing, barely surviving in a ramshackle broken house. But look at what was achieved. The RK mission is the result of the IDEA that RK represented. I’m no RK (let me repeat once again!), but I’m talking about an idea for India that needs not one but 1500 Vivekanandas. It takes only ONE Vivekananda to set fire to the fabric of tradition and oppression and to lead to new achievement for an entire country. Imagine what 1500 Vivekanandas can achieve.I may fail (according to your commentator’s definition), and may fail again – and again. But in the end it will take just one Vivekananda (figuratively speaking) to set the nation free.Instead of gloating at my failure, young commentator, why don’t you take on the work I’m trying to do – and succeed? Just to show how utterly incompetent I am. Make India free, make it prosperous, make it an honest place. Make it a place for us to be proud of.That will be a good lesson for me about my own incompetence and inability (to succeed). You show me, young man. I’m happy to be taught by you.S

Mithun Dutta I don't see that you have failed.. Its a gradual process..
Vishal Kumar Singh It is actually a failure of Indians who do not see their self interest. You are right the only option is to keep trying.
TB I have two points to mention:
1. "I do NOT see myself as a failure, for I stand for a cause far greater than me: the LIBERTY and greatness of India. I have overcome anything that has come in the way, and am still struggling each day to push myself to the limit. To me failure means not trying. It does not mean not achieving a desired goal. I don’t care about the results. I care ONLY for trying to do the right thing." – In my opinion, this is nothing but a loser's statement. It's not expected from a man who had worked once as one of the top most bureaucrat.
2.1500 Vivekanandas? Are you crazy, Sir? Have you created any 'crash course' to produce Vivekananda ? It's an absolute absurd idea.Probably Ramakrishna would not dare to think about making 1500 Swamiji.
Vishal Kumar Singh TB Until we have people like you who are sleeping all we can do is try. What do you expect if bulk of India is like you- shoot them. The only options is trying the right way. There will be one day when you will wake up but that is going to take lot of efforts as you can see.
Shantanu Bhagwat Mithun, Vishal, T: May I invite you to join the discussion over at the blog? http://j.mp/weF2h7
Sudeep Shetty @t.. . u r points really not very clear and totally misleading .. Sanjeev is believing and working towards one idea , and he believes that , its the best way of succeeding .. he may die for his idea , or even he may not get the desired result in his life time . but his idea wont die with him .. the idea which he believes is not only his idea now , that idea gives the birth to several sanjeevs clone now , its now My (our) responsibility to make that idea alive and succeed .. Now its not about sanjeev .. its all about how his idea will succeed from sanjeev or from sanjeevs clone .."“One individual may die for an idea; but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives. That is how the wheel of evolution moves on and the ideas and dreams of one nation are bequeathed to the next’”"
Sanjeev Sabhlok T, as expected, my point was missed. You would have known exactly what I was saying if you tried to read carefully.
On the first point, this has nothing to do with my being a "top bureaucrat". It is purely to do with the idea of liberty. And I have said repeatedly (in case you've not been paying attention) that I don't care whether it takes 1 year or 1000 years for FTI (or similar concept) to succeed. That's not relevant. What is relevant is the vigorous debate AGAINST SOCIALISM that FTI will undertake, until the point when the people of India understand.
I am pretty OK, T, from all angles. I'm providing useful information for India, so long as I feel I can or should. If India doesn't take on board this information and fails to become OK, then I'm still OK, see? The loser is India, the loser is you. To make you succeed is my hope. But if you want to lose, so be it.
Second, if you are not the leader of liberty, then what I said won't make a difference to you. You'll start nitpicking (" Have you created any 'crash course' to produce Vivekananda ? It's an absolute absurd idea"). That is clear evidence that you haven't understood what I'm saying. When you understand you will become the leader that India needs.
We may fail in our effort, but let's no fail to make an effort. Unfortunately GenNext wants to have everything easy and are not willing to wait. They are happy enjoying the luxuries of life without contributing much.
