This comment confirms the point I'm making – that socialism DESTROYS, while capitalism CREATES.

I am among the one migrated to capitalist country.

Before migration I had worked in India's leading public sector company BHEL for 22 years. I joined in the supervisory category but I was denied promotion to executive category eventhough I had completed Engineering Degree(B Tech Mech) with distinction and  MBA .  The min requirement for promotion is just 15 years experience in supervisory grade. I had unblemished track record of service extradinary contributions. But my collegues who dont have any additional qualification, extradinary contributions got promotions based on caste and other corrupt means.

Hence I was forced to quit and joined capitalist contry which recognise the skill and capability. Now I am working as a head of the company and earning more than the CMD of BHEL.

The reason capitalism works is because it focuses on the right incentives. It rewards MERIT, not whom you know.

Socialism is a mind set that seeks something for free – from someone else's labour.
